Not Dark Enough?

while not cartoony, its certainly not dark

I understand the beta is only the first few levels of the game, but so far I'm not impressed (other than the WD's toads, those are freaking awesome)

I watched each class and so far its, "meh"|||Certainly not dark?? Eerie music, zombies crawling up, people burning bodies in town...You must want some f'd up stuff if you don't find that dark.|||Quote:

Yes because the first two games you classify as being dark (D1 and D2) totally started off with zombies eating people and the ground being covered in organs,bodies, and blood. Oh wait...|||You know what, folks.

Forget about the graphics, forget about the music - all that is really important is that when I've watched the gameplay movies from F&F I felt: "It's Diablo!". That's important.

where did I classify D1 and D2 as being dark ?

but let's get to specifics:

wounded townspeople in the inn turning into monsters and having to be killed and exploding into globs of blood

(ooh blood)

the hero running along the road and having zombies crawl up out of graves (ooh scary)

I'm not 12 years old anymore

I'm just saying generally I was expecting more

maybe its because its the early levels, maybe its because I'm watching someone else play instead of playing it myself, maybe its because I've had 3 years to build up my expectations and now nothing could live up to them

but for right now its not "OMG , ITS D3 ! ITS FINALLY HERE"
