Waiting for Diablo 4!
Only ~10 more years, too! Cannot wait.

LOL...you mean 15 years.....we'll have to wait 5 just for the expansion

2ghz Dual Core

...haha
I don't trust myself to build one, but I have been looking at Digital Storms stuff and it looks like a safe bet. (Not that I would know.) Without derailing this too much, anyone know anything about them?|||Quote:
I've been thinking about it, but I think I'd rather see how it runs on my current janky set up before putting down the cash. It's not beastly but it's passable.

Just build it. It's really not that hard these days and is fairly dummy-proof if you just read up a little bit on it first. Then you can enjoy building them forever! (no joke it really is fun)|||Newegg recently updated their build your pc videos. Here is the first of the three videos.
If you are building your own, the most important thing to remember is to not skimp on your power supply. Cheapie power supplys cause system instability and can cause your whole build to die prematurely.|||I am going to just upgrade my processer to an i7 extreme 3980x, 32 gbs of corsair extreme, and loading in 3 -ATI 6970 2 gbs each gpu and run them in eyefinity on 3 27" eyefinity LED ready screens, bring on the diablo 3 ,|||Quote:

I'm guessing you aren't serious. But for those who are planning on buying an EyeFinity setup just for D3, you can save your money because it won't be supported.|||These intel i7's are sooo overrated for gaming. If you're doing video editing a lot, then yes. For gaming, AMD wayyyyy more bang for your buck.|||You aren't going to need much for diablo 3 to run well on high settings|||Quote:

I would not say "sooo overrated" that is a bit of a stretch don't you think. And not just video editing. There are a lot of applications that take advantage of all the i7s horsepower and I use 2 of them regularly and neither have to do with video.
