Question about REAL ID friend in Diablo 3

Hello everyone,

I would like to know what is the difference between ''Real ID friend'' and a simple friend invitation ?

What do I mean ?

See below:

There is a box called ''invite''

If I have wrote his diablo 3 character or his account name of Diablo 3, i'll be able to communicate with him ... . So what is the main reason of using Real ID (I supposed it's our email used for blizzard account) ?

Thanking you in advance|||With Real ID you can see the person's real name and you are also able to talk to them if they are playing WoW or SC2. And yes it uses your Battle.net e-mail.|||That "invite" button was to actually invite someone to the party that you're about to create. You invite people through your friends list, if it's like SC2.

My guesses: the Hammer icon is the auction house, the "shield" or chevron icon is the achievements pane, and the helmet icon is the...I dunno stash maybe?

The "Social" button is where you'd do your RealID inviting and all that jazz.

The lower box on the far left, no clue what that is.|||Quote:

... and the helmet icon is the...I dunno stash maybe?

Perhaps it's a way to quickly check the gear of your chosen character. Instead of going into a game and showing equipment to your friend or for your own sake. I believe the stash would be under there as well since you can access auction house in the main menu, you'd need a way to check what you actually have to sell. Hmm... or maybe your item list is somehow connected to the auction house menu so the "helmet icon" is something else completely?

Makes me wonder, since you can check your gear in the browser based armory, will you be able to check your stash as well when you're logged into the armory?
