At this rate, I don't know if I'll even be able to play the damn game.

Those would keep me away from playing it even if there was offline mode...|||Quote:

Not me though.|||Quote:

I think that's their point. Many things could cause us to not able to play the game, not just internet connection problem.|||Quote:

Why blizzard cant do different codepaths for iten generation, storage and "server" interaction when in offline mode wich would not have similarities at all with battlenet code so crackers can't get any advantages when studyind offline code? I'm not a programer but solutions like that are not that hard to figure out when you put a little effort on the matter.

Because, sorry, that is not the way the game is meant to be played. Why should they invest hundreds or thousands of man hours to develop a single player game when the small minority of people playing diablo play it for the SP, and when the game is not intended to be played offline.

Deal with it, it won't change, boo who. We honestly don't care if you can or can't play diablo 3, because millions of us will be playing it regardless.|||Quote:

That's not what's beign discussed in this thread nor those were the reasons blizzard gave to cut out offline mode. My PC is very stable and i'm not worried over hardware failures.|||Quote:

Don't forget:

- Cat pisses on modem --> no D3 --> included in "modem down"

- Violent thunder storm --> no D3 --> included in "provider down"

- Meteor hit house --> no D3 --> You die, or at least, your computer dies (except if you took your laptop with you)

- Alien invasion --> no D3 --> It depends, maybe they like us

- WWIII --> no D3 --> You can still play unless your home is bombed or you die

- Apocalypse --> no D3 --> Everybody dies|||Quote:

And these are the ones that post in the 'Bring back offline single player' threads, calling people 'Entitled Brats.'|||Quote:

This is very selfish imo.

And we are not a minority...|||Quote:

No way, dude, in WWIII everyone gets drafted. The robot armies are near limitless, we'll need all the cannon fodder we can get.|||Quote:

That's not the case. If Diablo 3 wasn't a single player game as much as cooperative game, blizzard would force all game lobbies to be 4 player games. AFAIK you can choose how many players will join your game, or even play alone.
