The "I told you so" thread. - Page 5

[:1]Choose one/some/all:

The game will be pirated, cracked to work on SP, and released likely before the game's official release.

The auto stats/skills/etc will make the game very one dimensional, in that the only reason to play it is to grind for items.

The "difficulty" of the game will be fake. Examples include difficulty by complacency, difficulty via timing puzzles, difficulty because the 1:100k items you need to survive won't drop...

The game will revolve around the RMAH. If you want good items you must go there.

Inferno will either be like the PS2 Baldur's Gate Extreme Mode (random instant kills as difficulty), or DDO's Epic Mode (massive increases to HP and damage, immunities to almost everything except damage).

Bots and dupes will run rampant shortly after release. At best they will be kept private but used extensively.|||The expansion pack will add a sword and board type, but the barbarian will remain the most popular tank build.|||Quote:

Blizzard already confirmed that there is PvP data and PvE data, so if they wanted they can balance PvP without changing anything in PvE.

They "say" a lot of things. And they said it only related to timers nothing else. For someone who pvped HC in wow for a long time I saw 1st hand how the pvp game destroyed the PVE game and I would hate to see it repeated.|||Quote:

Yes, but there is diffrence between Diablo 3 and WoW.

WoW's team said they don't want to seperate PvP from PvE in terms of skills. Which is completly retarded...

Diablo 3 team said they want to seperate it. And if some skill is too good in PvP and works fine in PvE they will just change how it affects players, and they won't change how it affect mobs.

On topic:

I will play Diablo 3 at least as much I've played Diablo 2.

People who claim they hate this game and will never buy it, are going to actually buy the game. Also they are still going to **tch around, even though they will play it few hours a day.|||PVP will be bigger than expected by a huge margin.

I will not play D3 as much as I played D2

Blizzard will add DLCs for content that offer much better drop rates and you will feel the need to buy them.

Blizzard will 180 on something they promised not to do and will explain it like they are doing us a favor.

The story and lore will be pretty generic clich stuff, with very little depth; there won't be a feeling of an epic battle between hell and heaven.

THIS right here.

After playing SC2 campaign and watching that leaked Heart of the Swarm ending, I am very disappointed in Blizz with their writing.|||Quote:

Am I allowed to predict that all of this guy's predictions will be false?|||There will be cookie cutter guides all over the web with "builds" for each significant boss encounter for all character classes.

Extra credit: In most random team games if you don't follow the commonly accepted "builds" for each boss you will have a good chance of getting ridiculed as a noob.|||Small DLC's will be released every couple months after release and these will be $1.99 to $3.99 each.

The first expansion will be released within a year of the official release and contain two more playable characters.

This one is most interesting:

Deckard Cain will turn out to be one of the lesser evils like Belial in disguise who has been orchestrating things behind the scenes.

This has real consequences for the player and is a real twist in the game lore. The trusted friend who helped you in the past is a traitor and himself corrupt. Interesting.....|||In 2 years max there will be more farmers/botters than legit players in D3, nuff said. I'll patiently wait to mock every AH defender when this happens.
