Provided they balance things at least moderately well, i see no issues with the new system. Each skill being paired with skill runes will lead to high build diversity. If most skill and skill rune combinations are comparable to each other, then skill runes will be used to augment your skill choices to your playstyle. I think we've already seen from the skill videos that a lot of the skills are altered drastically depending on what skill rune you're using. As for high level respecs, we'll see. Last I heard, they weren't going to make high level respecs free? Or at least they were highly considering it. Or I was drunk.
